Zayn Malik drove the internet into a frenzy following reports that he might be returning to One Direction.
The 22-year-old's was allegedly re-posted on the One Direction website, which fuelled a rumour that he was returning to the band, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Social media stirrers are also claiming Malik's new solo producer, Naughty Boy, posted a comment on Twitter lambasting Malik for leaving then deleted it.
However, counter rumours have also emerged that Malik has been working himself to exhaustion to release his debut solo album to prove his exit was the right decision.
