J-K: 2 terrorists killed in Shopian encounter

At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Rebban area of Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday.

Bodies of terrorists have been recovered from the site of the encounter, however, their identities are yet to be ascertained.

As per an official statement released by the Jammu and Kashmir police, a search operation was launched by the police at the strike of dawn today. As the operation was underway, the terrorists fired upon the forces. The police retaliated to the firing leading to an encounter.

The police have recovered incriminating materials including arms and ammunition from the site of encounter. They have also registered a case and initiated an investigation.
