J-K: Third accused involved in attack on SSB jawans arrested

The Banihal Police has arrested Mohammed Aqib Najar, the third accused involved in the attack on the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) patrolling party in Nowgam.

The police arrested Aqib Najar on Sunday night from Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir along with a pistol.

Aqib Najar, a residence of Kaskoot, was involved in the attack on the patrolling jawans of Battalion 14 of SSB in Nowgam on September 20.

One Head Constable, Ramparvesh Yadav was killed and an ASI, Shyam Singh was also injured in the attack.

Earlier, the Banihal police had nabbed the other two militants, Ghazanfar Khan of Kaskoot and Mohammed Arif of Asher. They were also nabbed along with the weapons, which were snatched from the SSB jawans.
