Jackie Kennedy's letters to a priest in Ireland has revealed that she had lost her faith in god after John F Kennedy's assassination and she struggled to find comfort in her faith.

The letters, which are set to go under the hammer by Sheppard's Irish Auction House in June, has revealed that she felt "bitter against God" and also describes her marriage and life as First Lady, Huffington Post reported.

Kennedy's 14-year correspondence with Fr. Joseph Leonard began before her marriage and continued until Leonard's death in 1964, after she met him while on a trip to Dublin.
