Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the assembly elections in Delhi, saying the Arvind Kejriwal led party is more comfortable in streets that in government offices.
He also said that the AAP is remembered for protests than for running the government.

"Even if we remember them, we remember them for protests instead of running the government. It is a party which is comfortable in streets than in government offices. Taking liberties with the truth, they have made this a political instrument. Speaking about honesty and giving seats to land mafia. Getting caught red handed for liquor distribution and then calling it political conspiracy. If caught while converting the money, then using diversion tactics and not giving proper answer," Jaitley said at a press conference.
He further dubbed the AAP as 'face of anarchy' and described their 49 day rule in Delhi as 'Nightmarish' "The dilution and disappearance of the Congress is the political price that they are paying because of what they did to Delhi and what they did to Congress. There is another local party that has come up in Delhi, if we represent good governance in the national politics they are the face of anarchy. I say anarchy because there is no better word that describes their 49 day rule. 49 days were nightmarish," he said.
A total of 673 candidates are in the fray for the 70-member Delhi Assembly. The elections for the Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. The counting of votes will take place on February 10.
