Jay-Z's fans were in for a surprise after the rapper announced that he will be releasing his new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' on July 4.

The 43-year-old singer made the announcement in a video which was reportedly aired during the NBA finals and was also posted to his website, Life + Times, the Huffington reported.

The video offers seemingly footage of Beyonce's husband in a partnership with Samsung.

The electronics firm has purchased one million copies of 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' and will distribute them days before the album's release to users of the Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, and Galaxy Note II.
