Australian fast bowler Joel Paris has been ruled out of this year's ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after suffering from shin injury.
Paris was about to make his debut this season with Delhi Daredevils, which purchased the left-arm swing bowler for Rs. 30 lakhs, ESPNcricinfo reported.
The 23-year-old, who made his ODI debut during the home series against India in January, suffered the injury during a Sheffield Shield match against South Australia in Perth last month.
Paris scalped 35 Sheffield Shield wickets at an average of 19.57 during the 2015-16 season. He also bagged ten wickets in the Matador Cup one-day competition.
