John Malkovich is in early talks to play a KGB operative in a movie about the life of Ronald Reagan.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 60-year-old 'Dangerous Liaisons' star actor would portray a Russian spy who is assigned to tail young Reagan as he arrives in Hollywood as a wannabe actor before embarking on his journey to the U.S.
The film's script, which is written by Howard Klausner and is based on two best-selling books by author Paul Kengor on Reagan, is out to a list of eight top directors with Stephen Frears.
The project is being produced by Mark Joseph and Ralph Winter.
