Johnny Depp has revealed that he was almost booted from the Pirates Of The Caribbean series, as the Disney executives couldn't understand his interpretation of Captain Jack Sparrow.
The 50-year old actor added that his oddball swashbuckling character, which was partly inspired by rocker Keith Richards, confused studio bosses, Contactmusic reported.
Depp said that he agreed with them but demanded to be compensated for the time he spent preparing for the character and filming in case he is sacked.
The film series was very successful at the box office and the fifth film is set to release in 2015.
