Australian pace spearhead Mitchell Johnson's bouncer delivery that hit Virat Kohli on the helmet appeared to have shaken up both players, while sending shudders around Adelaide Oval shortly before lunch on the third day of the first Test against India.
The stand-in India captain Kohli, who was facing his first delivery, came out unhurt as it was hit on the badge of the helmet. However, a genuine concern was displayed by the Australian players, who immediately rushed towards the player to ensure Kohli wasn't injured, News.com.au reported.
Johnson also seemed to have slightly shaken up after his bouncer delivery hit Kohli on the helmet, which was followed by the Australian skipper Michael Clarke extending his support to the player.
Virat Kohli arrived at the crease after the dismissal of Murali Vijay, who scored 53 before getting dismissed by Johnson.
The first Test had been rescheduled to start on Tuesday on the backdrop of Phillip Hughes' passing after the batsman was hit on the neck last month by a bouncer during a Sheffield Shield match at the SCG.
Currently, India have amassed 223 for the loss of three wickets, with top scorer being Cheteshwar Pujara hitting 73 runs.
