Australian golfer Matt Jones has reportedly booked his first trip to the US Masters after defeating Matt Kuchar at the Shell Houston Open finals.
Jones, who started six shots behind Kuchar, reportedly chipped in from 42 yards to seal a maiden PGA win at the first extra hole.
According to the BBC, Kuchar let victory slip in the final tournament before the Augusta National as he bogeyed two of the final three holes to lose to Jones, whose final-round 66 also included a 46-yard putt on the 18th.
Jones, who was ranked 88th before this tournament, will make his debut at the Augusta National on Thursday after picking up more than 1 million-pound prize money in Houston, the report added.
