Kalki Koechlin has launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, the thinnest and lightest device with Super AMOLED display, along with SK Kim, Managing Director Sales, Samsung India Electronics, in New Delhi.
The Vice President of Samsung India's Mobile and IT, Asim Warsi said, "We are excited to unveil the new Galazy Tab S offering a dazzling display, exquisite slim design and finest performance to our Indian consumers.
"The technological marvel is thinnest, lightest and is equipped with Super AMOLED touchscreen, which will propel us in this growing category and facilitate groundbreaking success", he added.
Speaking at the launch, the 'Dev D' star revealed that she uses her tablet extensively while on film sets to watch TV shows and movies, and admitted that she loves the display technology.
The new tab, with an Exynos 5 Octa-core processor and Android Kit-kat (4.4) OS, embodies the next evolution in mobile display technology and delivers more than 90 percent of Adobe RGB color coverage, which expresses more colors than ever before, and has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio that provides deeper and realistic images.
The tablet also has enhanced productivity and security features that allows users to safely multitask, and has an 8 MP rear camera with full HD video in high quality capability and a 2.1 MP HD front camera.
The new gadget, which has a 3GB (RAM) with 16GB internal memory, which is expandable to 128GB, comes in two-display size variants, 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch, and is priced at Rs. 37,800 and Rs. 44,800 respectively.
