Kanye West has defended himself on Jimmy Kimmel Live show about his previous feud with Jimmy Kimmel on Twitter, saying that he just wants to make good music.

The interview footage, which was released by Kimmel, showed the television presenter asking the 36-year-old singer that if he knew people considered him "a jerk", Stuff.co.nz reported.

West said that he was not running for office and just intends to make people feel good when they hear his music.

West had earlier tweeted a tirade of angry messages after he was offended by a childish skit on the hip-hop artist on the show.

The pair eventually appeared to bury the hatchet about their war on the micro-blogging site, as they both laughed on the tweets posted by West.

The 36-year-old singer also openly laughed at a skit by musician Josh Groban, which promoted a new album of songs titled 'Josh Groban's The Best Tweets of Kanye West.
