Demanding strict action against an Assistant Sub-Inspector ( ASI) who had allegedly raped a woman inside a police station, senior advocate Abha Singh on Saturday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should take a special note of the incident.

"IPC -376 clearly says minimum imprisonment of five years to a maximum of 10 years. A fool proof case must be made because the message has to go that the men in uniform who are supposed to protect women, who are supposed to make women safe if they are only going to rape and molest women, this a very serious affair and I think the Chief Minister of Delhi should make a special note of it," Singh told ANI.
The accused policeman reportedly raped the woman at gunpoint on Thursday and was also allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
He has now been sent to 14-days' custody.
