Drawing comparison between Hitler's close associate Joseph Goebbels and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari on Monday alleged that the AAP supremo was propagating the German ruler's ideology and practicing politics of lies.
Tiwari challenged Kejriwal for an open debate with his party colleague Maheish Girri whom the former accused of being involved in the murder of an NDMC legal adviser.
"I am here to support Maheish Girri ji and to fight against the man who practices politics of lies. Kejriwal reminds me of Hitler's minister Joseph Goebbels who you to say that if you keep on reiterating a lie people consider it as truth. Arvind Kejriwal has accepted the ideology of Goebbels," said Tiwari.
"But now he is trapped in a lie from where it is difficult to escape. To level allegations and then hide is Arvind Kejriwal's old habit. The country is watching this. His house is just 25 feet away from here but he not coming out. Neither he is not accepting Girri ji's challenge nor is ready to give an explanation. I would like to thank Mahesh Giri ji. I out rightly reject Kejriwal's habit of assassinating other peoples characters," he added.
In a letter to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Kejriwal had accused him of trying to "save" Girri and NDMC vice-chairman Karan Singh Tanwar in Khan's murder.
Girri had asked Kejriwal for a public debate over his allegations.
Khan was shot dead in Jamia Nagar on May 16, a day before he was scheduled to pass the final order on the lease terms of a hotel which was functioning on a property leased out by the civic body.
