Keeping in view Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dietary preferences, his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina on Saturday hosted a banquet for the former which saw an entirely vegetarian menu.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson shared the menu on twitter saying," And a very special, all vegetarian menu in honour of the Prime Minister."
The meal comprised of vegetable shammi kebab, khaman dhokla, paneer butter masala, Hyderabadi vegetable biryani and khichdi, along with Bengali delicacies like potol dolma and bagara baingan.
The meal was rounded off with a mishit sampler including rasgulla, mishit doi and exotic fruits.
A cultural programme was also hosted before the banquet in honour of Prime Minister Modi.
"A feast for the soul. Cultural Programme before the banquet hosted by PM Sheikh Hasina in honour of PM @narendramodi," said Swarup.
Prime Minister Modi is presently on a two-day state visit to neighbouring Bangladesh.
