Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been called in the Indian Test squad as a replacement for injured Amit Mishra for the one-off match against Bangladesh beginning on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Mishra sustained the injury while fielding during India's 75-run win against England in the last T20I of the three-match series.

He has been advised rest by the India medical team, and will undergo further assessment in due time.

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee have named Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian squad as the replacement for Amit Mishra, who is injured, for the one," the BCCI press release said.

Kuldeep recently played in the drawn two-day warm-up match against Bangladesh, returning figures of 1 for 32 and 2 for 2.

The spinner, who was also a part of the victorious Rest of India squad in the Irani Cup, has featured in a total of 22 first-class games and bagged 81 wickets at an average of 33.11.
