Laxmikant Bajpai confirms cancellation of PM's Varanasi visit

BJP leader Laxmikant Bajpai on Sunday informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Varanasi has been cancelled due to bad weather conditions.

"Given the forecast, especially between 2 - 5 p.m., it was advisable to do so. No prospective date has been decided yet (on the visit), he told ANI here.

Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to Varanasi this afternoon. He was expected to inaugurate a trauma centre, lay the foundation stone for various development projects and also scheduled to address a public meeting.
