The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the Punjab government to take a decision on the detention of Mumbai terror blast accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi within five days.
The order came a day after Lakhvi filed another petition with the LHC contesting the detention order against him. While saying that the Punjab Home Secretary should be advised to handle his case, Lakhvi argued that keeping him in custody was illegal and amounted to contempt of the ruling issued by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) earlier, reported the Dawn.
The high court had earlier rejected Lakhvi's previous petition challenging the detention order against him on Friday.
