Lingerie chain Ann Summers has named its new line of underwear 'Isis.'
The company, which had intended their collection to be after the ancient Egyptian goddess of love, had been feeling embarrassed after they realised the name was currently associated with the brutal terrorist organization across parts of Syria and Iraq, the Independent reported.
An employee of the lingerie giant said that the name for the new bra and thong line was decided six months ago, and by the time they realised what it could mean, it was too late.
The company said that it was "unfortunate timing" and apologised for the mix-up, saying that they did not "support or condone" any violent act.
