Bangladesh opening batsman Liton Das, who displayed a rich vein of form during the recently-concluded Asia Cup, has said that he is finding ways to perform consistently at international level.
The comment came ahead of Bangladesh's upcoming three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.
Recalling his first ODI hundred in the final of the prestigious tournament against India, the 24-year-old said that he wants to fulfill his expectations of continuing with an impressive performance at the global level.
"My first ODI hundred is very important. I was on the back foot for quite some time so for me, it became imperative to perform. My main aim is to be consistent because when I play domestic cricket I score quite consistently. Now I am looking forward to finding ways so that I can perform consistently at international level," International Cricket Council (ICC) quoted Das, as saying.
"As I have done well, my team and my teammates will want me to do well again while I would like to fulfill my expectations," he added.
Das has recently smashed the fastest double-century in Bangladesh's first-class history which came off just 140 balls.
When quizzed about the same, Das said that "each match is important" for him, adding, "One match can have a lot of impact on someone's career but you have to start from scratch in the next match."
Bangladesh are slated to play a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe from October 21 to 26.
