'The Lunchbox' director Ritesh Batra will be adapting Julian Barnes' Booker Prize-winning novel 'The Sense of an Ending' to big screen.
The Indian filmmaker said that he would be directing Oscar winning British actor Jim Broadbent, who'll play the lead role of an ageing man in the film, which will begin filming in London later in this year, the BBC reported.
Batra, who's debut film has claimed several Indian and international awards, said that he was thrilled about the project as the novel was one of his favorites, for he could relate to it personally.
The filmmaker also described the debut screenplay by British playwright Nick Payne as "brilliant."
The project is being financed by BBC Films and New York-based FilmNation.
