With reportedly 12 matches left for the La Liga title, the race for the finals has tightened after current leaders Real Madrid drew 2-2 with rivals Atletico and Barcelona defeated Almeria 4-1.
Atletico reportedly led Real 2-1 at halftime and were closing in on their first home win against Real in nearly 15 years, when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal eight minutes from time to level the match at 2-2 for a draw.
Meanwhile Lionel Messi scored his 230 th La Liga goal in Barca's 4-1 victory over, to become only the third player with 230 La Liga goals, the report added.
According to Stuff.co.nz, Madrid is top in the leaderboard for the La Liga title with 64 points followed by champions Barca, who are chasing the title for a fifth time, with 63 points and Atletico at number three with 61 points.
This was reportedly Real's 28th unbeaten match, since they last lost 2-1 to Barca at the end of October.
However, Madrid captain Sergio Ramos said he is a bit disappointed because of the draw despite being three points ahead of Atletico in the leaderboard.
