Manchester United claimed their first win of the ongoing Champions League season by sweeping aside Wolfsburg by a 2-1 margin at Old Trafford.
The German side first took a surprise lead during the first half, with midfielder Daniel Caligiuri scoring the opening goal in the fourth minute of the game.
But United midfielder Juan Mata ensured that the hosts got their first points on the board in Group B by scoring a penalty in the 33rd minute, the Mirror reports.
In the 52nd minute of the match, Chris Smalling, who has been in wonderful form this season, scored the match-winning goal for his side.
United are currently at second spot in Group B of the Champions League table, having three points from two games. They will next lock horns with CSKA Moscow on October 22.
