Congress leader Manish Tewari on Sunday condoled the passing away of acclaimed journalist Vinod Mehta.
"My profound condolences on the sad demise of Shri Vinod Mehta a liberal both in word and deed A person whose unconventional life was inspiring," he tweeted.
Earlier in the day, Vinod Mehta, the editorial chairman of Outlook India magazine passed away after prolonged illness. His last rites will be performed at 4 p.m. at Lodhi Crematorium.
Mehta, was one of the most influential editors and had launched a number of successful publications such as the Sunday Observer, Indian Post, The Independent and The Pioneer (Delhi edition).
