'Mary Poppins' actor Julie Andrews, who has been missing from the silver screen for over a decade, will be lending her voice to a key character in the upcoming DC movie 'Aquaman'.
Andrews will play the character of Kathareen who helps Aquaman broker peace between Atlantis and the dry land, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Aquaman producer Peter Safran stated, "We wanted the Karatheen to have the voice of a classic British actress, albeit somewhat digitally altered. And when we found out Julie was interested and available and excited to do it, casting her was a no-brainer."
Aquaman features the 'Game of Thrones' actor Jason Momoa in the lead who plays the mythical underwater creature.
The trailer for the movie which dropped in July featured Jason as the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is a part human and part Atlantean. He then steps forward to lead his people and to stop his evil half-brother, the villain Ocean Master, played by Patrick Wilson, who wants to turn Earth into an underwater world.
The movie also stars Nicole Kidman, Amber Heard, Randall Park, Dolph Lundgren and Willem Dafoe.
It will hit the theatres on December 21.
