Indian under-19 player Mayank Agarwal and star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh's dominating display with the bat helped Delhi Daredevils to end their 11-match winless streak as they defeated Kings XI Punjab by five wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) tie at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Wednesday.

The Daredevils were set a 166-run target to win by Kings XI Punjab after the latter chose to bat first on winning the toss.

Kings XI Punjab scored 165 runs for the loss of seven wickets, thanks to Virender Sehwag's respectable 47-run knock and wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha's 39 that provided some stability to the team, as the rest of their batting line up failed to cross their individual 20-run mark.

Opener Murali Vijay and skipper George Bailey, both, were dismissed for their individual 19 runs each, while David Miller went on five, Glenn Maxwell on 15 and Axar Patel on 13.

Imran Tahir was the pick of the bowlers for the Daredevils as he clinched three wickets, including that of Maxwell and Bailey. JP Duminy grabbed two wickets while Angelo Matthews and Amit Mishra scalped one each.

The Daredevils got off to a impressive start with opener Agarwal knocking 68 runs and Yuvraj Singh contributing with his brisk 39-ball 55-run knock that included five fours and three sixes.

Agarwal's opening partner Shreyas Iyer failed to find form as he was dismissed for six runs only while Duminy contributed 21 with the bat.

It looked at one point that Agarwal and Singh would guide the Daredevils to glory but Duminy's men faltered late while chasing the target as they went from 159-3 in the 18th over to 165-5 in the 19th over before Matthews eventually hit the winning four for the side.

Agarwal was named the Man of the Match for his 48-ball 68 runs which included seven fours and two sixes.
