Rory McIlroy and Nike have agreed to a contract extension in which the World No. 2 golfer will wear Nike shoes and apparel into the future.
The company announced the agreement on Sunday in a brief statement.
McIlroy first signed with Nike in 2013.
Since then, he has won 12 tournaments, including two major championships, two Race to Dubai titles and most recently, the prestigious FedEx Cup.

"I've loved this company since I was a kid," says McIlroy. "I'm really happy to continue this journey with Nike."
The 27-year-old ranked 17th in Forbes' most recent list of the world's highest-paid athletes, with $42.6 million in earnings from June 2015 to June 2016.
Jason Day, ranked third in the world, also signed a new deal with Nike earlier this year.
