A 22-year-old man gulped down 182 slices of bacon in mere 5 mins, setting a new milestone.
Matt "Megatoad" Stonie ate approximately 6 lbs of pork at the Daytona 500 in Florida, breaking the previous unofficial record set by Mark "The Human Vacuum" Lyle, who ate just 54 pieces in 5 minutes, the Mashable reported.
The competition was set up by Major League Eaters and they rank Stonie second in the world of competitive eating.
Stonie approach to eating bacon was grabbing a handful, bending it in half, chomping away and following it with a glass of water.
As per his Facebook page, he is very picky about how he likes his bacon prepared, and after winning the title, he said that "the bacon was cooked just the way I like it - a little crispy because I don't like having to chew it.
