In a bizarre incident, a Kenyan man woke up in the mortuary after being confirmed dead for 15-20 hours.

A 24-year-old suicide victim, who had been pronounced dead after he drank insecticide following an argument with his father, left hospital staff in shock after he woke up inside one of the mortuary chambers where he was due to be embalmed, the Mirror reported.

Naivasha District Hospital workers said that Paul Mutora, from Limuru, had been confirmed dead for approximately 20 hours when he woke up and started calling out for help.
