Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday condemned killing of ex-sarpanch Mohammad Ramazan Sheikh.

"I condemn killing of ex sarpanch Mohammad Ramazan and burning of his house. Such dastardly acts cannot justify or achieve any political goals," the Chief Minister said.

Earlier in the day, house of former sarpanch Ramzan Sheikh of Imam Sahib village, was set on fire by mobs in Shopian district.

Earlier on Monday, three terrorists killed Sheikh following a scuffle.
