Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haq has urged his bowlers to improve their death bowling in the third one-day against Sri Lanka in Sharjah on Sunday and said that they are missing the experience of Mohammad Irfan and Umar Gul in that regard.

Pakistan failed to defend a big 285-run target as Sri Lanka's batsmen benefited from sloppy end overs bowling to win the second one-day by two wickets in Dubai on Friday, levelling the five-match series 1-1.

According to The Dawn, with Sri Lankan bowlers even cashing in on some poor end overs bowling in Pakistan's narrow 11-run win in the first game in Sharjah on Wednesday, Misbah said that Pakistan was missing the experience of Irfan and Gul, both of whom are out of the tour due to injuries.

Misbah said that they need to address the issue of death bowling if they want to win the series, adding that they are lacking experience in their fast bowling department.

However, Misbah hailed the performance of his side's batsmen, especially opener Ahmed Shehzad's career best 124, saying that he is happy that the team has managed to overcome their biggest problem, which used to be batting.

The last two matches will be played in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and Friday, the report added.
