Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq is most likely to take a call on his retirement on Friday.
According to the Dawn, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official informed that the middle-order batsman would either announce his decision via press conference or would convey his message directly to the board regarding his future in the international cricket.
The official insisted that he was not sure whether the upcoming tour to England would be his last outing, but suggested that it would be better to leave the game on a high note.
Pakistan is slated to play four Tests, five ODIs and a T20I against England and this tour seems to be Misbah's last international outing.
The Test captain had taken retirement from T20Is in 2012 before bidding adieu to the ODIs in March following Pakistan's quarter-final exit in the World Cup.
Misbah, who appeared in 61 tests, 162 ODIs and 39 T20Is for Pakistan, is considered as the most successful Test captain, having led his side to 42 matches; winning 20, losing 11 with 11 draws.
