Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq is still unsure of the batting combination that his team will go with in the first Test against South Africa that starts in UAE on Monday.
According to the Dawn, either Shehzad or Masood is expected to partner Khurram Manzoor and Misbah said it would be tough to decide which opener to drop.
Pakistan's batsmen had a good run in warmup matches, with uncapped openers Ahmed Shehzad and Shan Masood both scoring half centuries against South Africa and Younis Khan warming up for Test match with a century against the UAE, the report said.
Misbah said it would be a tough choice because both the guys were batting well at the moment, but he thought it was good for the team.
He also said he wanted his teammates to forget the humiliation in South Africa and to try to prove that they could compete against a good side.
