Pakistan cricket team captain Misbah-ul Haq has claimed that it is his side's chance to create history, ahead of the much-anticipated India-Pakistan Cricket World Cup opener on Sunday.
Pakistan have an embarrassing string of World Cup flops against their arch-rivals India and Misbah regards their tournament opener on Sunday at Adelaide as an opportunity to end it.
Pakistan have lost all their five World Cup matches to India dating back to 1992, even though they hold a superior 72-50 win record against the neighbours in ODIs, The Dawn reported.
Misbah said that this is a chance to create history, adding that India-Pakistan is always all about pressure. He claimed that the best thing his side could do is just enjoy the game, enjoy the atmosphere, go there and be positive.
The skipper said that his advice to the team is just go out there and play their natural game, adding that that is the only way to handle pressure.
Misbah was not worried that his team's opening match in the 14-nation tournament was a high-voltage encounter against India. He said that one has to be ready to play against any team at any time if one really wants to do well in any tournament.
Misbah claimed that it's not really a question of playing India first, adding that one needs to be ready. He insisted that the key is not to take anything into the ground when they are playing against India.
