British athlete Mo Farah has said that he is not a drugs cheat and if he would be cheating, he would not be away from his family and up in the mountains to train hard.

According to the Mirror, ahead of this Sunday's Bupa Great North Run, Britain's double Olympic and World champion says he would be unable to look his kids in the eye if he was living a lie.

Farah said that he knew he was clean and that's what people needed to know, adding that he worked hard at what he did.

Farah's response echoes that of Sir Bradley Wiggins when tackled on the subject en route to Tour de France glory a year ago, the report said.

Farah, speaking in Font-Romeu, added that there is ample evidence to support his words, in the form of 41 blood profiles he has given the anti-doping authorities, according to the report.
