Modi doesn't understand the strength of India, says Rahul Gandhi

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, on Saturday took a snipe at Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate stating that he doesn't understand the strength of India.

Rahul sniped at Narendra Modi saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate does not understand the strength of India and its people and accused his party of following a politics that was "full of anger".

Also criticizing Modi on snoopgate issue, Gandhi advised him to change slogans on his posters where it was promised that he would give power to women, as "he was the person sending police after women and tapping their phone in Gujarat.

You have given us the most important thing which is ideology which Lord Buddha had said some three thousand years ago that we need to take everyone along with us. That all are one and there is place for everyone. This is what the Congress believes in.

Sixty years before there were no rich people here . Either they used to do farming or work as a labour. It was the poor who fought against the British and they drove them out from India. While we say that the money that has been generated must go to the poor, while the opposition says it should go to few industrialists.

Rahul also talked about a slew of projects that were taken for the benefit of the poor and the farmers like the Food Security Act, Land Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, MNREGA. He also talked about the promises which the Congress has made in this election like Right to Shelter, Right to Health and pensions for the elderly poor people.
