Monica Seles battled with binge eating disorder post getting stabbed on court in 1993

Monica Seles has recently confessed that she battled with binge eating disorder after getting stabbed on court in 1993.

The 41-year-old, who also attributed her struggle to dealing with the pressures of sports and her father's prostate cancer, said that she felt really embarrassed about it, E! Online reported.

It took a while until former Yugoslav world no. 1 professional tennis player felt comfortable talking about it and that's one of the reasons she decided to do this campaign; to raise awareness that binge eating was a real medical condition, she further added.

Seles' weight fluctuated throughout her career, but she said that she had a hard time understanding what was going on because she was normally very much regimented about everything else in her life.

After finally getting diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder, Seles learned to manage it and now has no problem eating in public.
