Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had reportedly mocked the match officials following the Stamford Bridge side's first home defeat under his reign in a shock 2-1 Premier League loss to Sunderland on Saturday.

Chelsea's defeat, which left them two points behind leaders Liverpool, having played a game more, was Mourinho's first in 78 home league matches at the helm of the London club.

According to sport24, Mourinho mockingly congratulated his players for 'giving what they had and what they did not have' and Sunderland for winning the game, and then proceeded to mock match referee Mike Dean, who awarded the 82nd-minute penalty from which Fabio Borini scored the winning goal, for his 'fantastic performance'.

Mourinho further mockingly congratulated head of refereeing body Professional Game Match Officials Limited Mike Riley for their 'fantastic work' in the championship this season

Although Samuel Eto'o gave Chelsea a 12th-minute lead, but bottom club Sunderland quickly equalised through Connor Wickham before snatching victory thanks to former Chelsea striker Borini, who is on loan from Liverpool, the report added.
