New Manchester United boss David Moyes has called on Robin van Persie to produce the same form, which led the Premier League Champions to their title last season.
According to The Sun, Van Persie has joined up with the squad in Sydney ahead of tonight's match against the A-League All Stars, with the Dutch striker scoring 30 goals in a spectacular debut for the Old Trafford last season after his 22 million pounds switch from Arsenal.
Moyes said that the striker's control, touch, awareness and finishing in small games was excellent and they were trying to get him into a condition where he could do exactly what he did last year.
The manager also urged England striker Danny Welbeck to join the Dutchman in his pursuit of scoring goals for the club, to increase the side's chances of winning the title once again.
Manchester United lost their last pre-season game in Thailand and the club is expected to do better in Sydney in front of a crowd of over 80,000.
