Manchester United manager David Moyes will try to win his first trophy for United when the club faces FA Cup Winners Wigan at Wembley Stadium on Sunday in the Community Shield.
According to Sport24, though the Community Shield is rarely considered a major piece of silverware, it presents Moyes the chance to pick up his first trophy as United manager.
Moyes' only honour so far is the third-tier title he won with Preston in 2000 before 11 impressive but trophy-less years with Everton, the report said.
The manager said that he would be trying to make this the first trophy of many but if Man U wins, it would be something that has been earned by Sir Alex, because it was the good work in the Premiership last season that had set up the Community Shield clash.
Moyes has already said that it would be impossible to try to match the record of Ferguson.
