MP Govt. goes green, set to initiate paperless budget

The Madhya Pradesh Government on Thursday said it is going to initiate a process which aims to decrease the paperbound operations in the government offices and departments and aimed to present paperless budget in future.

"We are going to start Integrated Finance Management Information and System (IFMIS) which will initiate a process that the next budget of 2016-2017 is paperless," MP Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya told ANI here.

"After this all our departments would be also be made paperless," he added.

Malaiya also said that the state government aims to save Rs.50 crores which is being spent on papers adding that all the information would be available online soon.

"In the meanwhile it will also save the labour and time of the employees," he added.

Stressing on the need to save trees, Malaiya said "The more we can comprise the need for paper the more beneficial it would be for the environment.
