Mukherjee condoles passing away of Manoranjan Bhakta

President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of veteran parliamentarian Manoranjan Bhakta.

In a condolence message to his wife, Shanti Bhakta, the president has said, "I am sad to learn about the passing away of your husband Shri Manoranjan Bhakta.

Shri Bhakta was a veteran Parliamentarian who understood the pulse of the people. In his long public career, he made important contributions towards the welfare of the people, particularly that of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. His services to the nation as a former Parliamentarian and social worker will always be remembered.
