Mutants go to war in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Super Bowl trailer

The trailer of the upcoming action flick 'X-Men

The trailer showed some intense action scenes and introduced some newcomers Lana Condor as Jubilee, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, E! Online reports.

Other actors, who are returning from the 'X-Men' franchise, include Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Josh Helman as William Stryker, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Lucas Till as Havok.

Film's producer Bryan Singer said that Apocalypse has acquired a number of different powers over the years; one was to imbue other mutants and to heighten their powers and abilities and second was for getting shielded from psychic powers.

He further said Apocalypse's greatest asset is his power of persuasion.

The upcoming flick is slated to hit the theaters on May 27.
