A minister-level official of North Korea is slated to address the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York on September 29.
The official will deliver the keynote address at the general debate of the U.N. General Assembly for the fourth time, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing Radio Free Asia.
The report also quoted a provisional list of speakers filed by the U.N. Public Information Department, speculating that North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho might address the UN General Assembly.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is also expected to travel to New York to address the congregation, provided talks on denuclearisation of the North Korean peninsula and the establishment of a peaceful regime here proceed positively.
According to reports, United States President Donald Trump will address the gathering on the first day of the general debate, on September 25.
Around 195 countries are expected to come together at the UN General Assembly 2018.
109 head of states will join the general debate and deliver keynote addresses at the gathering.
