World No.1 Rafael Nadal and Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka have eased into the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters on Thursday, where they were joined by defending champion Novak Djokovic and Swiss ace Roger Federer.

The Spaniard became the 11th man to crack 300 wins on clay following his landmark 6-1, 6-3 win over Italy's Andreas Seppi while Djokovic cruised past Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta and Federer saw off Czech Lukas Rosol.

According to Sport24, Swiss third seed Wawrinka reached the quarter-finals without hitting a ball after his third-round opponent Nicolas Almagro withdrew for an unspecified reason and he will next meet eighth seed Milos Raonic after the Canadian beat 11th-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo 6-4, 6-3.

Nadal, who is yet to approach all-time top winner on the surface- Argentine Guillermo Vilas, will next meet compatriot David Ferrer, who booked his place by beating Bulgarian number 12 Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-2.

Meanwhile, Djokovic, who ended Nadal's eight-year Monte Carlo winning run in 2013, will next play Spanird Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, who beat fifth seed Tomas Berdych 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Federer, the fourth seed, spent just 57 minutes on court getting past Rosol 6-4, 6-1 and next plays ninth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the report added.
