Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar on Tuesday said both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are trying to fool the people of Bihar.
"Be it the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA alliance, or the alliance under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, both are trying to fool the people of Bihar," Anwar told ANI.
"If Narendra Modi talks of giving a package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore, then Nitish Kumar is giving a package of Rs 2.07 lakh crore, and talking about his vision of the future. Bihar's people are confused with this," he added.
Anwar said, "I think there will be the same speech at Modi's rally today, where he will give only an assurance. What will come out in reality is difficult to say."
At his 'Swabhiman Rally' on Sunday, Nitish criticized Modi, saying, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Rs 1.25 lakh crore package. I want to expose him, and say that out of the entire package, Rs 1.08 lakh crore is old.
