Naseeruddin Shah played the role of a Pakistani diplomat in a theatre play, titled 'A walk in the woods' at Alhamra Hall in Lahore.
The play is staged on two actors, Pakistani and an Indian Diplomat, who hold private meetings in the woods and try to achieve a breakthrough in the muddled negotiations between Pakistan and India.
The play was staged by Faiz Foundation Trust in collaboration with Lahore Arts Council and Motely Theatre Production, the Daily Times reported.
A large number of people including celebrities related to drama and theatre industry, youth were present on the occasion.
The play's premise springs from history in 1982, the negotiators Paul H. Nitze (USA) and Yuli A. Kvitsinsky (USSR) left their official Geneva sessions for an unofficial 'walk in the woods' and achieved a breakthrough, soon rejected by their governments.
