The Parliament of Nepal has failed to file the nominations of consensual candidates for the elections of President and Vice-President posts.
According to The Himalayan Times, the parties were supposed to file the consensual names by 1 pm today. But no candidacy was registered by that time.
The house will now elect its new President and the Vice-President on Wednesday.
The parties are due to nominate their candidates for the elections and are required to file the nominations on Tuesday.
