Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha candidate from Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu had already promised to support Sitharaman.
The filing of nomination papers for the by-poll commenced from June 16 and will continue till June 23.
The scrutiny would be done on June 24 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is June 26.
